On August 23, 2005, The Mighty Boosh unleashed something that cannot be unseen upon the BBC. Old Gregg—a green-skinned, seaweed-haired merman with a "mangina" and an unsettling obsession with Baileys Irish Cream—emerged from the waters to traumatize Howard Moon and anyone foolish enough to watch.

"Do you love me? Could you learn to love me?" Noel Fielding's creation asked, holding watercolors of Baileys and demanding affection with the energy of a creature who'd been alone too long. The internet, naturally, loved him immediately.
