Deez Nuts

Why I'm Still Kicking
The setup is ancient, dating back to Dr. Dre's 1992 album The Chronic. But the meme? That was born in 2015 when Instagram user WelvenDaGreat posted a video of himself delivering the punchline with perfect timing and overwhelming joy.
"Do you like Wendy's?" "Yeah, why?" "Wendy's nuts hit your face! Ha! Got 'em!" The structure was childish. The execution was flawless. The laugh was contagious. Within weeks, "Deez Nuts" had infected every corner of the internet.
The format expanded into territory its creators never imagined. A 15-year-old filed FEC paperwork to run for president as "Deez Nuts" and briefly polled at 9% in North Carolina. The prank became political commentary. The punchline became a protest vote.
Ten years later, the joke persists in its purest form: any setup that can be subverted into "deez nuts" will be. It's juvenile. It's stupid. It's immortal. The internet will never mature past this, and honestly? Got 'em.
